Flight instructor, student in plane crash rescued

FORT RAMON MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija — Rescuers finally reached the location of a light plane that crashlanded in the Sierra Madre mountains at the boundary of Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija and Maria Aurora, Aurora province early Wednesday afternoon and rrescued the pilot of the aircraft and his student.

1st Lieutenant Catherine Hapin, information officer of the Philippine Army’s 7th Infantry Division, said rescuers found Captain Albert Galban and Alexis Trinidad around 1:35 p.m.

Hapin said Trinidad required first aid for unspecified injuries.

Their Cessna 152 (RPC-1995), owned by FlyFast Flying School, was on its way to Baler from Pangasinan when it went down around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
