Palace bares new govt appointments

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang Palace released on Tuesday, October 24, the list of new government appointees.

The appointments, signed on October 4 by President Rodrigo Duterte:

  • Lorna Dig Dino, undersecretary, Department of Education
  • Jonathan Malaya, assistant secretary, Department of Interior and Local Government
  • Demetrio Tuason, ambassador to Mexico with concurrent jurisdiction over Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Dominican Republic and Cuba
  • Francis Rey Felipe Gaspar, senior assistant provincial prosecutor, Cagayan
  • Virgilio Calagos Eduarte, director IV, Department of Public Works and Highways
  • Roderick Gabia, director IV, Information and Communications Technology Office, Office of the President
  • Edgar Lino Posadas, director III, Office of Civil Defense, Department of National Defense
  • Jose Roberto Nunez, director II, OCD, DND
  • Maria Lourdes de Leon, director III, Human Resources Management Office, Office of the President
  • Edwin Sicat, director III, Malacañang Motor Pool Office, Office of the President
  • Maria Theresa Evite Maligad, director I, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Department of Finance (replacing Jethro Sabariaga)

  • Jesus Villanueva Hinlo Jr., director (private sector), Land Bank of the Philippines
