The symposium, to be held on October 11 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, will put participants in a better position to fulfill the requirements of the law and to maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and security of the personal information they hold. Authorities in the field of data privacy will be speaking at the event, such as Privacy Commissioner Raymund Liboro, Deputy Privacy Commissioner Ivy Patdu, and Atty. Francis Acero, the head of the National Privacy Commission’s Complaints and Investigation Division.
The Disini Data Privacy Core Team, headed by Atty. JJ Disini, will also share their insights on the ways organizations can undertake their own compliance processes, as well as on critical issues such as the role of information security in the compliance process, the best practices for breach management, the impact of the DPA on certain industries, and the proper application of the exceptions set forth in the DPA.
