Lour de Veyra DOLE logo fiasco
Netizens chime in with their own bemused takes on alternative logo art for a few government agencies.

In the wake of the recent web page slip-of-the-click booboo, whether or not inadvertently, by the Philippine News Agency’s online jocks, erroneously posting a logo of Dole, the pineapple company, in place of DOLE – the Department of Labor and Employment in a news story, bemused-but-inspired netizens have chimed in with their own takes of suggestive alternative logos for a few government agencies.

A sampler follows:

For Philippine Information Agency (PIA): A picture of former senator Pia Cayetano.

Department of Energy: A picture of the entertainer “Mr. Pure Energy” Gary Valenciano.

For Department of Tourism (DoT): [what else but] literally a huge dot.

Department of National Defense: A picture of Safeguard bar soap with its shield logo art design.

For Department of Health (DOH): A piece of dough.

Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF): Picture of a model suggestive of that internet slang acronym that stands for “Mama I’d Like to F**k”.

For the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT): A picture of Senator Richard “Dick” Gordon.
