MANILA, Philippines — Commission on Elections chairman Andres Bautista has confirmed filing complaints for grave coercion, robbery, qualified theft and extortion charges against his estranged wife Patricia.
Bautista said he and his sister filed the charges before the prosecutor’s office in Taguig City.
The Comelec chief’s public tiff with his wife has also led to calls to investigate him after she accused him of allegedly amassing ill-gotten wealth.
