WATCH | Guns found in Parojinog house planted?

A masked man in camouflage outfit carrying a long firearm is seen entering the house of Ozamiz Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog during the July 30 raid.

MANILA, Philippines – Were the guns recovered from the Parojinog residence in Ozamiz City during the July 30 police raid planted?

Video clips from closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras released to media by the Parojinog family shows a masked man in camouflage outfit with a long firearm going to the second floor of the residence of Ozamiz Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog in Barangay San Roque.

The man is then shown in the video going towards a hamper and getting from the laundry basket a white towel that he uses to wipe his gun.

The man then goes to the third floor and is handed a second gun by another man.

In another footage also from the CCTV camera of the Parojinogs, two men are seen also wearing camouflage outfits on the second floor of the vice mayor’s residence.

One of the two men in camouflage is seen approaching a third man wearing a helmet. The two talk to each other as the man wearing a helmet is handing a gun to the man in camouflage.

The same footage later on shows the man wearing a helmet telling the two males in camouflage to leave before the man is seen with his cellphone.

Another video clip shows Nova Princess lying on her stomach. She’s trying to look up but a policeman is seen stopping her by holding her head.

According to the Parojinog family, the guns seen in the video clips look similar to those that were recovered from the residence of the vice mayor.

Authorities earlier said among the items recovered from Nova Princess’ residence during the July 30 raid was an M16 Blackwater rifle.

Ozamiz chief police inspector Jovie Espenido said the Parojinogs could file a case if they thought that irregularities took place during the raids that allegedly turned into a firefight between the police and the Parojinog family and their bodyguards, killing 16 people including Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sir, his wife, and two siblings.

Alam n’yo naman they are all free to file. Masabi natin kung ano ang pakay nila, na naghawak ang pulis ng baril [You now that they are all free to file cases. Through that, we will be able to know what was the motive of the policemen, who were carrying guns],” said Espenido.

Sa korte na lamang tayo. But anyway, ‘yon nga, free naman sila mag-question for those masabi nga nating irregularities,” he added.
