MANILA – Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre on Wednesday issued an immigration lookout bulletin order against persons cited as having roles in the P6.2-billion shabu smuggling from China.
Covered by the lookout bulletin is Richard Tan, the businessman-owner of the warehouse where the shabu was discovered; middleman Kenneth Dong; consignee Fidel Dee who also served as caretaker of the shipment; and two Taiwanese who rented the warehouse in Valenzuela, Jhu Ming-jyun and Chen Min.
Dee, Jhu and Chen have already been arrested in operations mounted by the Bureau of Customs and National Bureau of Investigation.
Included in the lookout order is the relieved head of the customs risk management office, Larribert Hilario, and customs broker Mark Ruben Taguba.
The DOJ issued the order on the request of Sen. Richard Gordon, among those leading the Senate’s investigation.
In issuing the order, DOJ raised the fear that the personalities on its list might try to leave the country.
In the ILBO, the Justice department directed immigration officers to be on the lookout for the names on the list.
