MANILA, Philippines — Expect thunderstorms in most parts of the country because of the Intertropical Convergence Zone, the area near the equator where northern and southern air masses meet, affecting Southern Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao.

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced in Metro Manila, Calabarzon, the Bicol region, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, and the provinces of Aurora, Bataan, and Zambales, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country, it added.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the southwest to southeast will prevail over the western section of Luzon and coming from the southeast over extreme Northern Luzon and coastal waters there will be moderate to occasionally rough.
