MANILA, Philippines — A tricycle driver was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of stabbing dead an American in Caloocan City.

Romeo de Luna admitted stabbing James Rinaldo Boudreaux, 66, early Tuesday morning when he resisted the American’s alleged attempt to force him into having sex.

The victim’s landlord said she heard the American crying for help and, when she looked inside his rented room, found him dead from eight stab wounds.

Closed circuit television footage showed Boudreaux and Deluna talking on the street before leaving for the American’s place.
