MANILA, Philippines — The National Police Commission has approved the recruitment of 14,484 new Police Officers 1 “to increase police personnel strength, improve police-to-population ratio and enhance police visibility.”
Napolcom vice chairman and executive officer Rogelio Casurao said 10,000 civilians will be taken in under the “regular recruitment quota,” which will be distributed to police regional offices and to selected national support units, while the remaining 4,484 new officers are covered by the attrition recruitment quote intended to replace losses due to retirement, separation or death.
