COTABATO CITY, Philippines — A bus driver was shot dead as he steered his vehicle in Makilala town, Cotabato province early Friday morning.
The killing of Jessie Taray, a resident of Baranay Malabuan in the town, appeared to be a planned hit.
Police said the gunman pretended to be a passenger on the Mindanao Star Bus unit driven by Taray. He shot the driver past 4 a.m. in Barangay Malasila.
No one else was hurt.
