MANILA, Philippines – Before her ad-interim appointment was thumbed down on Wednesday, May 3, Department of Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Regina “Gina” Paz Lopez sent a message to her supporters via Facebook video, saying she would try her best “but one needs to let go.”
After the Commission on Appointments let her go, Lopez let her hair down. She raised her arms, closed her eyes, sang American singer R. Kelly’s 1997 hit “I Believe I Can Fly” and then asked her supporters to sing with her.
