MANILA, Philippines — A 230kV transmission tower near the Alabang exit of the South Luzon Expressway collapsed Wednesday morning when a fire struck houses around its base, weakening its foundation.
But the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said their line redundancy system prevented power interruptions.
News5’s Michelle Orosa-Ople, who was at the site of the incident, said the fire was declared out by 11:56 a.m.
