MANILA – The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) has advised the public to use the prescribed PHLPost boxes sold at all post offices and postal outlets nationwide.

These PHLPost boxes are intended for mailing and sending of goods anywhere in the country and abroad.

“We would like to inform the public to use the standard PHLPost boxes in sending their packages at post office counters to make sure that their items or goods are safe and secure”, Postmaster General Joel L. Otarra said.

The public may choose from among the seven different ‘standard’ sizes of PHLPost boxes available, depending on the volume of the items sent by the customer.

The boxes are made of durable material to ensure that all packages are received by the addressees in good condition. The boxes provide markings for proper handling and space for the labels.

Securely wrapping a parcel or packages ensures that the items won’t be damaged during transit, PHLPost said.

The postal agency sought to avoid incidents of damaged parcels or packages because of improper (poor) wrapping, using weak paper materials.

Using a PHLPost box means the mailer will now easily identify what are dimensions (sizes) in advance, making the process of sending the goods simple and fast.
